Trivia Writer & Research Resident

BuzzFeed is looking for a writer with a substantial background in research to produce trivia-oriented posts. The role would involve taking assignments to build posts in particular subject areas – history, science, religion, sports, pop culture – but would also allow the writer to pitch their own ideas and pursue specific personal interests. The ideal candidate would have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and excellent research skills, plus a strong interest in entertaining an audience.

Responsibilities:

• Research and produce fact posts and trivia quizzes on a wide range of topics
• Assist other writers by suggesting efficient research methods

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in research and/or library science
• A good sense of what makes for an interesting/challenging/fun trivia quiz
• A wide range of interests and an ability to adapt writing style for different audiences
• A positive, curious, playful disposition
