Description: 

The User Experience Intern can analyze tough problems, think though design challenges in a systematic way, and has experience completing basic UX deliverables. This designer is familiar with UX best practices, and also brings fresh ideas to the table. This designer has a natural empathy for our users, and passion for the products and tools we are building.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with senior designers to think through product features and flows.
  • Use an iterative design process to wireframe, prototype, and validate design ideas.
  • Participate in user research, product definition, sprint planning, and QA as needed.
  • Contribute to the larger design team through by sharing UX-related interests and ideas.
  • Collaborate with other interns on an internal project.

Qualifications:

  • Currently in the junior or senior year of undergrad, or a graduate student.
  • Studying a UX related field such as interaction design, HCI, graphic design, industrial design, architecture, or computer science.
  • Basic knowledge of the fundamentals—visual design, user-centered design, brand development, and how products are put together.
  • An extreme passion for understanding the user, and a strong communicator of the user’s perspective throughout the design process.
  • Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, Invision and anything else needed to get the job done.
  • A strong online portfolio available for viewing.
