Quovo is looking for a user interface designer to help us conceive, design, prototype, and implement a user experience that revolutionizes how people interact with financial data.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as UI and visual design lead on advisor and client digital experiences - from discovery/concepting to detailed wires and visual design.
  • Design detailed mockups and user flows to inform development, and showcase roadmap to prospects and clients.
  • Work closely with engineers, product, and business stakeholders to solve design problems, brainstorm new ideas, work out use cases, draw from research insights, and account for business priorities with elegant solutions.
  • Lead and become voice of customer and usability research to iterate and improve the product over time.
  • Serve as design lead to collaborate with/manage outside design agencies for special projects as appropriate.
  • Potentially assist with front-end development, specifically around CSS and design implementation.

 

Requirements:

  • World Class UI and design chops in translating complex problems into simple, engaging solutions.
  • Strong sense of organizing, displaying, and visualizing information in an app/digital context - we are a data-heavy product!
  • User-centered approach, identify/theme pain points, handle edge cases, thoughtful information architecture, innovative designs, and test/iterating with data.
  • Ability to work efficiently and bias towards action in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • A strong conceptual thinker who is a fast learner and detail-oriented
  • A self-starter with a strong sense of collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Invision, and willingness to learn whatever else is needed!
  • Strong online portfolio available for viewing
  • Collaborative mindset and sense of humor
  • Enjoy a challenge and willingness to take risks

 

Nice to Haves:

  • Extensive mobile design experience
  • Experience with data-driven applications or data visualization
  • Experience with or interest in the financial industry
  • B2B software experience
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript
