The Job - VP, Marketing
As the Vice President, Marketing, you will be responsible for driving market awareness of, and demand for, Justworks. You will define and execute our marketing strategy, ultimately driving top-line growth while improving ROI. You will influence the way that Justworks communicates with all stakeholders including current and prospective customers, employees, and shareholders, as well as our broader community. You will lead and develop our growing marketing team.
As the ideal candidate, you are a business leader who combines a strategic perspective with analytical prowess. You always have a point of view on our next best investment, but are not afraid to test new out of the box ideas. You’re not afraid to fail, but you fail quickly. You take direct responsibility for generating revenue by building the top of the funnel but understand the importance of middle and bottom funnel tactics. You insist on working with the best people and you are an inspiration and mentor to your team. You have experience in both B2B and B2C marketing, as well as proven success in scaling growth and improving ROI.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute detailed acquisition strategy to scale revenue exponentially (via qualified lead generation) over the next 16 months, including building scalable marketing infrastructure, developing strategies to reduce Justworks’ customer acquisition costs and increase customer lifetime value, ensuring alignment with sales, finance, product & engineering teams to achieve goals. managing multi-million dollar budgets and executing on digital and offline marketing plan.
- Establish, monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop further analyses which highlight opportunities for growth.
- Serve as a passionate brand steward, advocate and gatekeeper for the Justworks brand. Manage PR, Social Communities and Content. Balance long-term focus on brand equity with near-term revenue goals and requirements.
- Lead research and insights by leveraging government data, market data, competitive intelligence, customer and end-user insights to inform business planning and decisions.
- Create an integrated brand experience for all customer touch points that is compelling and differentiated in the marketplace through strategic planning and creative and original execution.
- Work with the CEO and executive team to refine and execute the company’s go-to-market strategy including new market entry, partnerships, branding and demand generation.
- Contribute to product direction and strategy. Partner with the product team and customer support team to ensure loyal relationships with clients and end-users with the goal of increasing affinity and LTV.
- Hire, train and retain world-class talent.
Qualifications
Who you are:
- BA or BS; MBA preferred.
- B2B and ideally B2B2C experience
- Experience leading a team with varied backgrounds and professional/technical experience.
- Proven success in managing external vendors/partners.
- Experience managing a budget or P&L.
- At least 10 years experience in a senior marketing leadership role.
- Strong business and financial acumen; quantitative fluency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Creative and curious thinker able to identify emerging business and cultural trends relevant to Justworks’ target audiences and able to integrate foresight into marketing planning.
