VP, Brand Marketing

Summary

We're looking for a VP, Brand Marketing to lead the team who does all ideation, planning, and execution of Away’s brand marketing projects from start to finish, including research, stakeholder alignment, creative briefing, resource planning, cross-functional communication, execution, launch, and reporting. Key brand marketing projects include, but are not limited to brand partnerships, collaborations, experiential marketing, retail activations, product launch marketing, and events. This role oversees an existing team of brand marketers, reports to the CEO, and is based in our Noho, NYC headquarters. 

Some of what you’ll do:

  • Lead our large (and growing!) Brand Marketing department, which encompasses brand partnerships, experiential, and brand launches 
  • Oversee the development of a short- and long-term brand activation calendar
  • Execute 20+ brand activations each year to build awareness, brand equity, and revenue
  • Mentor and guide a team of direct and indirect reports to ensure the entire team has the tools and skillsets needed
  • Develop scalable processes for stakeholder alignment, project briefing, planning, budgeting, cross functional communication, execution, launching, reporting, and hindsight learning 
  • Have the highest standards for building Away brand equity, brand awareness, and driving revenue 

Who you are:

  • You have at least 10 years experience in a series of brand marketing, strategic, and creative roles—bonus points for brand-side and/or e-commerce experience
  • You've been managing, mentoring, and developing exceptional teams for at least 5 years 
  • You’re passionate about creating meaningful experiences for customers
  • Your communication skills are unrivaled, and you know how to make people listen and understand
  • You’re extremely organized and adept at creating (and sticking to!) timelines and budgets
  • You love to travel (but that's a given)
