Women in Engineering Internship (Summer 2017)
Meetup connects people throughout the world to do more of the things they love to do. What develops from these communities is the serendipitous discovery of new places and things through the use of our technology! This Summer 2017, the Meetup Engineering team is offering a unique opportunity to students who are in strong technology programs who love to solve problems, collaborate, design, and be an engineer -- learn more, do more, grow more, and develop with us through the Meetup Women in Tech Internship! Selected students will be offered a paid internship along with the potential opportunity to join a smart, dedicated engineering team and community full-time at the conclusion of the summer.
As an intern at Meetup, you could be working on:
- New features for Meetup's millions of active users
- Improving our monitoring, deployment and testing infrastructure
- Making our recommendation algorithms better
- Internal development tools
- Native mobile platform applications
Join one of our open teams:
- UI Engineer (Front-end)
- Core Engineer (Back-end)
- Mobile (Android and iOS)
- Data Science (Machine Learning and Data Engineering)
We use a variety of tools and tech at Meetup: JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Java, Scala, Swift, MySQL, Hadoop, etc. Experience with some of those is ideal, but not required. What you do need to bring is a passion for technology and experience developing for the web. Side projects, viewable code on Github, or elsewhere is a huge plus.
If the above describes you and your passions, apply, we want to hear from you! Cover letter and resume are required for your application. Tell us your story, we want to know who you are!
