Stash is looking for a contract WordPress Developer with a true passion for building great websites. Our ideal candidate will provide well-structured and well-documented code and communicate effectively with other members of the marketing and development team. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to learn new emerging technologies and take initiative to offer technical direction and creative solutions.
**This position would begin as a contract role for 6 months and sit on-site at our awesome office in Flatiron. The role has the potential to turn into a FT opportunity at Stash.

What you'll do:

• Develop WordPress websites from scratch
• Work collaboratively with our engineering and marketing design team to re-skin and build out our Stash Learn site
• Harness style guides and the Stash voice to ensure consistency across all builds

 What we're looking for:

• Deep experience in the WordPress framework
• An understanding of PHP and MySQL
• Direct experience building responsive websites and significant experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript required
• An understanding of search-engine optimization (SEO), as well as site-speed optimization
• Experience with Google AMP Pages, Instant Articles, and other new formats
• Experience deploying sites on external hosts
