Lightening Talks at Eyeview, September 6th at 6:30 p.m.
Lightening Talks feature around 10 back-to-back five minutes talks covering just about any technical topic. This Lightening Talk will be held at Eyeview, a video advertising technology company. The event is put together by Women Who Code and, as such, is intended for people who identify as women.
Flatiron Students Present, September 6th at 6:30 p.m.
Student teams from Flatiron’s web and iOS development program are going to be giving five to ten minute presentations on a technical topic. If you’re considering attending the school, this is a great opportunity to come and see what it’s really like, meet current students and teachers and see inside the school.
Demo Day 8, September 6th at 6:30 p.m.
Presenters at Demo Day 8 get five minutes to present a journalism-oriented project, and another five minutes to answer audience questions. Talks will include everything from different approaches to web notifications to how news publishers can use geolocation tools.
Fuckup Nights Brooklyn, September 7th at 6:30 p.m.
Everyone fucks up, but these tech leaders are going to share stories of some of their biggest fuckups and the lessons they learned. This edition will discuss fuckups relating to hover boards, viral campaigns, consumer goods and fashion.
Future of Food Expo, September 10-11th all day
Want to know what’s next for food? Of course you do. This one of a kind event will showcase the future of food products, companies, media and innovators from around the world in Brooklyn. Eat your heart out and learn something new — there’s even a BBQ.
