Doing Business in NYC as a Tech Firm, September 20th at 8 a.m.

This event will help prospective tech entrepreneurs navigate New York’s lucrative, yet often murky tech landscape. You’ll learn some important challenges to entering the market, hit on some private and public sector opportunities and look at some case studies of how successful firms operate here.

Build an iOS App in 3 Hours, September 20th at 6:30 p.m.

This is a beginner workshop that will teach you how to build a simple app using Swift. The course, which is intended for people with no experience, will act as a crash course to iOS development.

How to Boost User Lifetime Value, September 20th at 6 p.m.

This panel event will feature industry experts discussing their experiences using mobile to boost long-term customer loyalty. The panel includes the Head of Marketing at Pollfish, the CRO of GrowMobile and the head of mobile strategy for General Assembly, Hailo, Ogilvy & Mather and Estee Lauder.

Elements of Successful Email Marketing, September 22nd at 6 p.m.

Most email newsletters kinda suck. This seminar will help you make sure yours doesn’t. It’ll cover list building strategies, avoiding spam filters, selecting an ESP, template design and a whole lot more. If you’re going to send out a mass email, it might as well be a good one.

Should I Study for an MBA?, September 24th at 1:30 p.m.

While I suppose the answer is largely subjective, this seminar is going to make the case that yes, you absolutely, desperately need an MBA to be successful. If that’s something you’re into, this event will put you face-to-face with admissions directors at some top business schools, who can answer any questions and offer advice.

That's all for this week. Check out the events page for a full listing of everything happening in NYC tech.
