Data Scientists and Their Data Tools
When is it: June 6th at 6:30 p.m.
What’s going on: Speakers will share details about their data science toolboxes and about their experiences building their first APIs. Deborah Berebichez, a physicist, TV host and data scientist, as well as the first Mexican woman to graduate with a physics Ph.D. from Stanford University will be speaking, as will Jane Stewart Adams, a data scientist, programmer and writer from Brooklyn.
Who should go: The talk is aimed at data scientists, but anyone who can keep up would probably enjoy the talks.
MedTech Monday Wildcard Workshop
When is it: June 6 at 6:30 p.m.
What’s going on: This event is billed as a ‘hybrid presentation and free-flowing discussion.’ Expect topics to include things like the difference between MedTech and HealthTech, an overview of the top companies in the respective industries and more.
Who should go: This is a workshop for people at all coding levels.
The Cornell Executive MBA in Metro NY
When is it: June 7th at 6:15 p.m.
What’s going on: Cornell is opening their doors to let the public experience an MBA class — without leaving the city.
Who should go: People considering an MBA.
When is it: June 7th at 6:30 p.m.
What’s going on: The event will feature a bunch of back-to-back, five minute talks covering a variety of technical subjects.
Who should go: Everyone — especially those interested in technical topics.
The FinTech City That Never Sleeps
When is it: June 9th at 6:45 p.m.
What’s going on: This is, according to the organizers at least, the first ever FinTech hackathon in the United States. It’s a twenty-four hour event — hence the name.
Who should go: Anyone passionate enough about FinTech to stay up all night attacking one of the industry’s pain-points.
