Marc Lobliner is not (just) a bodybuilder

There is a long standing stereotype that bodybuilders are unintelligent muscle monsters.  To be fair Marc Lobliner is certainly a muscle monster, but he is far from unintelligent.  Marc has built an extraordinary following on YouTube, screaming at the camera in-between giving thoughtful fitness advice.  And his loyal following, including myself, love it.  But Marc is not just a gym rat giving his advice, he has proven himself to be an incredible businessmen long before YouTube even existed.

Believe it or not Marc started out in the tabloid industry, bouncing between sereval magazines.  After he had his fill covering celebrities, he decided to work with one.  He helped build a business with Sylvester Stallone, before leaving to build his own businesses.  What followed was a string of successful fitness brands including MTS Nutrition and Tiger Fitness.

It wasn’t until after he had startup experience that he began pursuing competitive bodybuilding.  He reasoned that he could share the spotlight with his brands to help give them exposure and some free marketing.  While Marc doesn’t particularly like competing, he does understand that it has been a huge asset to his brands.  The price Marc pays with grueling workouts, strict dieting, and ‘dancing’ around on stage has given his brands a massive bump in sales and exposure.

Which begs the question;

Are you willing to dance on stage (mostly) naked and get judged if it would help your business?
