The Role:

As an Account Management Director at Intersection, you will be a key member of the Intersection sales team, working collaboratively with sales directors, Sales Account Executives, marketing, clients, and contributing to the overall growth of the business while managing our growing team of Account Managers across the country. This is a key role for an energetic, strategic thinker with strong managerial skills and experience in account management/planning/strategy. You will need to identify and seize upon account management opportunities, manage multiple employees, navigate the cross-functional groups of Intersection and activate new processes to ensure we live by “The Intersection Way” - maintaining a collaborative and consultative effort with our clients. You should have a strong understanding of the digital space and OOH, a keen sense of urgency and the ability to work with management teams. With your strong advertising experience, this is the ideal opportunity for you to grow within an exciting and dynamic organization.

What you will accomplish:

  • Lead, inspire, coach, supervise and motivate a national account management team and build on an established culture of hard work, energy, fun, positivity, and accountability
  • Direct supervisor for Account Managers who create, launch and successfully manage campaigns for advertisers
  • Manage the activities and performance of a team of account management professionals, set team expectations and goals, and provide guidance and direction as needed to ensure company success and personal development
  • Create efficient processes that streamline problem-solving and drive top-level Client service
  • Lead internal training efforts for the onboarding of new members of the Client Success Team
  • Partner with Sales Strategy & Operations to define, modify and build sales ops structure for the success of our Partners
  • Forge strong relationships with Sales management and other internal stakeholders (Marketing, Ad Ops, Product team, etc.) to collaborate on strategy for revenue growth and help drive new revenue opportunities
  • Provide input on ad sales materials and collateral, incorporating research data and account management insight where necessary

What we are looking for:

  • Proven: You have extensive advertising experience at a publisher or agency and experience managing a team. You have a thorough knowledge of the digital / OOH sales process, including pricing and packaging. You’re proficient in the tools of your world – you can distill a report in Excel, create beauty in a PowerPoint, and have knowledge of GeoPath, Neustar, Placed and digital media tools such as Omniture, Nielsen Net Ratings, and comScore
  • Logistical master: You make ideas actionable. When given a big, elaborate task, you approach it with a clinical precision. Your clear mind and logical approach don't go unnoticed. You’re looked to as a highly organized, strategic thinker with an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Organized: You live by prioritization and organization. You’re a born multitasker who loves to take on a good challenge; especially on a tight deadline. You see the big picture, but your attention to detail and creative flair make you a valuable asset to any team
  • Communicative: Whether written or orally, your communication skills are outstanding in any context. Your interactions with clients and co-workers move business forward in a dynamic and surprisingly entrepreneurial environment
  • Solutions Oriented: Your can-do attitude is contagious. You tackle projects from a strategic and creative approach with nothing standing in your way of achieving the end goal
