Position: Staff Accountant (NY)

KBRA (KBRA Holdings, Inc) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in the New York office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accounts payable procedures, including recording vendor invoices, reviewing expense reimbursement requests from employees, and reviewing client employee monthly credit card expenses
- Perform accounts receivable procedures, including invoicing, collections and recording cash receipts
- Assist in preparing monthly closing schedules, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Prepare of monthly/quarterly financial/operational reports including all supporting schedules
- Prepare semi-monthly and monthly payroll journal entries for various entities
- Monthly Sales Tax review for various entities
- Purchase order review and invoice preparation for payment processing
- Monitor email from central mailboxes and completing tasks as needed (e.g. W9 distribution, vendor surveys, etc.)
About You / Requirements:
- One (1) or more years of accounting experience at a mid-size firm
- BA/BS is required
- Possess a general understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to be a team player
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are essential
- Effective in process change and automation
- Enjoy tackling complex problems with an ability to problem solve through actionable strategy
- A self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- Ability and desire to exercise independence to achieve set goals
- Understand and utilize NetSuite and Salesforce (highly preferred)
- Ability and creativity for special accounting projects, as needed to support growing and scaling the organization
- Create and maintain written procedures on all aspects of this position, including “what and how to” manuals while working to improve efficiency and collaboration
Technical skills:
Required: Excel, NetSuite
Preferred: Expensify, Salesforce, MS Office products
Salary Range:
The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 to $75,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
