Summary/Overview:

KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, Inc.  LLC) is seeking a Credit Analyst for our ABS - Consumer team in the New York office. The candidate should have some experience in ABS with knowledge in the consumer sector such as auto loans, consumer loans, solar loans, home improvement loans, credit card receivables, small business loans preferred.  An Analyst within the ABS Consumer group will be a part of the transaction rating team, working with other members of the team through all aspects of the rating process from collateral analysis to report publication.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform transaction analysis including originator/servicer evaluation, loan pool analysis, modeling and analysis of bond structure, and review of legal structure and documentation
  • Help to prepare credit submissions and present transactions to rating committee
  • Write and prepare individual transaction reports for publication
  • Attend and participate in issuer due diligence
  • Perform ongoing surveillance on outstanding transactions: monitor performance, run cash flow analysis, create surveillance reports, present to surveillance committees and update ratings as appropriate
  • Assist in the publication of market commentaries and industry-related topics
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Key Skills/Experience:

  • B.A. / B.S. degree is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience performing credit analysis in ABS sector in rating agency, buy-side, credit research, banking or other similar roles
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Transaction analysis including originator/servicer evaluation, loan pool analysis, modeling and analysis of bond structure, and review of legal structure and documentation
  • Strong Excel and Intex skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with team members in a collaborative environment

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $80,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
