ARCHIVAL PRODUCER

VICE NEWS TONIGHT + VICE on HBO

OVERVIEW:

VICE News Tonight is looking for an Archival Producer to research, source and clear third party materials for VICE NEWS TONIGHT and VICE on HBO weekly show.

 

DUTIES:

  • Work closely with editors and producers to provide creative solutions for third-party material needs.
  • Research and source footage and photos, ensuring the highest quality material through VICE’s unique and highly reputable lens.
  • Negotiate licenses ensuring all terms align with VICE standards and staying within budgetary constraints.
  • See the archival process through delivery of high resolution, master files and archival cue sheets.
  • Help in stories’ creation by working closely with the researchers, development team, APs and post production team to make sure all standards are being kept and to ensure all third-party material is being used ethically, accurately and legally.
  • Liaise with the legal department on fair use calls, clearance issues, amendments to licensing forms, etc.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years relevant experience in related field: experience in both news and archival a must!
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in high pressure environment
