The Role

Dotdash Meredith is looking for an Associate Editorial Operations Director to oversee and streamline the editorial workflows of the Beauty & Style commerce team, specifically Byrdie, Brides, InStyle, and Shape. Our team creates shopping content across a wide range of categories—makeup and skincare to fashion, wedding gifts, hair tools, fitness equipment, and more. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the nuts and bolts of digital content operations while being able to maintain a 10,000-foot view of team-wide goals.

About Your Contributions:

  • Work with editorial directors, senior editors, and inter-company stakeholders to optimize editorial calendars, track the progress of assignments, and prioritize updates

  • Collaborate with editors to understand their needs, map out their processes, and develop structured workflows that improve collaboration and transparency

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including data, technology and product to drive continuous improvement in editorial products, processes, and tools

  • Partner with editors on the implementation of new product features across our content 

  • Plan and track editorial projects across multiple brands and update brand partners on progress to goals

  • Maintain a high-level view of our research and testing pipelines across brands, ensuring that original insights and photography meet our standards

  • Manage budgets and invoices across the team

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience working on or with editorial teams

  • Passion for and/or knowledge of the beauty, fashion and lifestyle space

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with an ability to apply data to drive decision-making

  • Adept at managing multiple projects and calendars at once 

  • A proactive problem solver who is extremely organized

  • Experience with SEO best practices and tools and how it relates to content

  • Bachelor's degree required
