The Role

We are seeking a hard-working, results-oriented salesperson to join our Client Sales Team. The incumbent is accountable for supporting the New York sales team from our New York office with some travel for client engagement.

How You'll Help Take Us There

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the market and MarketAxess product suite
  • Support MarketAxess senior sales leaders in covering Tier 1 customers; develop relationships and take ownership of reporting, training, and day-to-day requests
  • Maintain customer relationships and become a subject matter expert on new Sales initiatives to help grow customer engagement
  • Sell MarketAxess trading capabilities to current and potential customers focusing on relevant suite of products (e.g., investment grade, emerging markets, high yield, leveraged loans, index product, munis, Eurobonds or rates)
  • Actively build a new business pipeline within the relevant product or region, call on customers and develop relationships at multiple levels across the customer organization
  • Responsible for customer onboarding, relationship management, end-user training, and the build out of new initiatives and customer messaging
  • Leverage customer and industry intel to effectively communicate product requirements to Product Specialists/Developers for system enhancements, functionality and usability
  • Assist in training junior members of the team
  • Meet the minimum of customer meetings during and after business hours and be able to entertain customers at various venues

What We’re Looking for  

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services; sales or operations experience from a broker/dealer, or relevant experience working for a fixed income electronic trading venue
  • Knowledge of the fixed income markets, preferably investment grade, high yield, Emerging Markets, leveraged loans, credit derivatives and fixed income ETFs
  • Knowledge of the MarketAxess platform and product suite
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Access; Salesforce required
  • Experience with Tableau and Microstrategy required
  • Self-starter, results-oriented and tenacious
  • Ability to interact with and provide insight to line-traders
  • Ability to interact with and provide insight to trading management
  • Ability to proactively tackle business problems with creative solutions
  • Interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (eg. negotiation, consultative skills)
  • Ability to deliver results amidst continuous change in an agile work environment
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be in office as needed per company requirements
  • Travel required for training and customer engagement
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
  • Must obtain Series 7 within six months of starting if not already held
  • Must obtain Series 63 within six months of starting if not already held

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $80,000 USD to $105,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
