Business Development Representative
Riskified is hiring business development representatives to join our fast-growing NYC startup!
Riskified is an innovative, VC-backed eCommerce fraud-prevention company that leverages machine learning to separate legitimate orders from fraudulent and keep our merchant partners one step ahead of thieves. Merchants send us their orders for evaluation, and we return an “approved” or “declined” recommendation.

We are seeking hungry, driven people to join us and help build the business by developing and qualifying new business opportunities. You will learn a diverse set of skills while continually working to improve the business development process.
Responsibilities
- Generate quality sales opportunities through proactive, strategic prospecting
- Research industries and individual companies to find the best targets
- Establish and develop a relationship with representatives at target companies through a mix of calling, emailing and trade shows
- Identify prospects’ key questions and pain points and translate those for the marketing team to inform content creation
- Consistently use the proven sales approaches and techniques developed internally at Riskified
Requirements
- Able to quickly understand a given business and its place within an industry. Very successful candidates are able to identify a target’s needs and decision makers, and then tailor their outreach accordingly.
- Sales oriented and highly motivated
- Attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment with minimum supervision
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. for other than practical training
