In this new role, the COO will lead day-to-day operations of StartUp Health and be responsible for operational excellence and managing the company’s 30+ team members through our next stage of growth. This is a unique opportunity for an operational leader to make a global impact and who cares deeply about our mission to transform health.

The COO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, executing on the company’s 25 year strategic plan (we are six years into the plan) to organize and support a global army of Health Transformers around the mission of achieving 10 Health Moonshots designed to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in the world.

This role is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial-minded, results-oriented operations wiz to have a transformational impact on StartUp Health’s global reach and impact. The position reports to the CEO and is based at The StartUp Health Village in downtown NYC.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive operational excellence across the organization, refining and/or creating automated, scalable systems and processes as StartUp Health grows in size and complexity, while maintaining high quality standards
  • Lead the development and implementation of operational goals across teams to ensure the company’s goals, KPIs and objectives are achieved
  • Keep the company’s high-level strategy front-and-center while understanding the details of day-to-day execution to ensure what needs to happen does happen
  • Fill in leadership gaps, fix big issues, and execute core strategy in partnership with leadership team
  • Establish and effectively communicate and monitor specific, measurable, individual and team performance metrics and goals
  • Ensure integration and effectiveness of SaaS platforms and data systems across operations, communications, HR, finance, product, and business development

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of operations management experience at a growth-oriented company in the technology space
  • Entrepreneurial-minded and comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to drive results, prioritize activities and effectively manage and integrate various business functions
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical and change management skills, with an ability to identify strategic challenges and opportunities and make decisions in the face of resource constraints and ambiguity
  • Effective communicator and collaborator with whom people want to work
  • Experience coaching and teaching team members throughout the business
  • Alignment with StartUp Health’s mission to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in the world
  • Excited about executing on a long-term global plan through rapid growth
