TodayTix launched in December 2013 to connect global audiences to the $50 billion global live entertainment business. The company started app-only, introducing a transacting website in 2016. TodayTix aims to connect its audience to global culture, selling last-minute (as well as 30-day advance) tickets to the complete offering of productions in its cities; including Broadway, Off-Broadway, Opera, Dance, and Improv. TodayTix finds customers the best offer, from premium orchestra seats to discount balcony seats.

We have quickly grown to a team of over 80 full-time employees. After initial seed capital from top executives in the entertainment and tech industries, we have completed a healthy Series-A and B round of financing to fund our global expansion. We are now in 11 cities around the world and have sold over $130 M in tickets as well as launched a podcast garnering 200,000+ downloads and produced a magazine, The X, read by over 100,000 people per month.

We're seeking highly motivated team members to join us in disrupting an old supply chain model, to broaden access to theater, and expand the theatergoing audience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The clear majority, over 80%, of all theater ticket purchases begin with a search engine inquiry. We rank on Google in part by writing high quality content pieces on pertinent news in theatre, culture and the arts and promoting those articles around the web. This role is focused on supercharging those efforts, specifically through link building: email outreach to promote our content and gain links to our assets.

You will be responsible for leading the outreach efforts of our team. You will also be a thought leader in the installation and use of 3rd party tools to maximize your productivity and the number of quality links you can place each month.

Main responsibilities include:

• Link Building. Promote our articles, guides, and content through concerted email outreach to get relevant websites and authoritative sources to link to our site. You will have a monthly goal of placed links that are required.
• SEO Strategies. Determining what methods will work best to promote an article or project, and making sure we get useful information from our research team.
• On Page SEO. Making sure our articles are optimized for both search engines and web readers.
• Outreach Projects. Trying out new outreach methods and experimenting with existing methods to improve our results and find new link building strategies we can potentially scale.
• Relationship Building. Familiarize yourself with one or more online niches, so that we have a reserve of friendly bloggers and publishers we can collaborate with. Identify key influencers and start conversations with them. Maintain these relationships to produce positive results for both parties.

ABOUT YOU

• 3+ years’ experience in Outreach / SEO
• Thrives in high-accountability, fast-paced, and goal-driven work environment
• You should be familiar with basic SEO outreach strategies, tools, and tactics
• Experience using basic SEO tools: Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Majestic, (Google Analytics a plus), Scraper, ASQ (advanced search queries), SQL, Excel
• Ability to pivot quickly to obtain business goals and needs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
• Consistently identify new and useful content for our readers/customers through competitor analysis, industry trend research, and industry expert research
• Creating, analyzing and understanding current & evolving content trends/needs for the business
• Take ownership of the ideation, creation, implementation, and execution of outreach campaigns
• Maintain a strong pipeline of content and prospects
• You have strong written communication skills.
• Organized in thinking, planning and presentation (oral and written)
