OVERVIEW: VICE NEWS is looking for an archival researcher to assist with research and source third party material, ensuring the highest quality imagery through VICE’s unique and reputable lens. The archival researcher will be joining a team of three Archival Producers, an Archival Coordinator, and act a universal resource across the department.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Receive research assignments from archival producers on both the nightly news program as well as long form documentaries.
  • Point person for VICE NEWS Digital short form video research requests 

LONG TERM ASSIGNMENTS:

  • Tag and manage incoming VICE NEWS SHOT BROLL to add to Stock Footage Project
  • Create searchable catalog of VICE NEWS produced content
  • Actively research new archival vendors for the department

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years relevant experience in related field: experience in both news and archival a must!
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in high-pressure environment.
