We are looking for a Director of Content to join our Marketing Team. This role will be responsible for developing our strategy for engaging buyers, members, providers and champions through highly engaging content that is an expression of our core brand. We are looking for someone who knows how to create content that will expand our company’s digital footprint, drive awareness, and produce leads.
You have previous experience working in a high-growth, B2B or B2B2C environment where the demand for content is high. You are creative, energetic, and bring a strong content POV to the table. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills. What you'll be doing:
Content Strategy & Execution
Creating an editorial mission, vision, and voice, and developing and implementing editorial strategies
Align editorial and business goals, while hiring and supervising staff and budgets
Generate editorial ideas and concepts based on data, and oversee the planning and production in coordination with Brand, Growth, Member and Product marketing teams.
Serve as editor-in-chief for all content to ensure quality, clarity and consistency.
Ensure messaging is resonating with our audience through organized testing variations. Collect, monitor and analyze social and website metrics, and make improvements accordingly.
Stay updated on industry trends and adjust the content strategy as needed
Collaborate with brand, product and sales managers to create promotional concepts
The development of a functional content calendar throughout the enterprise verticals, and defining the owners in each vertical to particular persona groups.
Leadership
Embody the brand voice - shape brand voice guidelines, style, and tone. Teach others how to produce content that expresses our voice and perspective.
Hire, retain and supervise a team of content editors, content strategists, content writers and senior content marketers; be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style. Do some writing yourself.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify key content areas to be developed. Partner with care providers or other external industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
Guide and execute our social media strategy - develop our presence on LinkedIn and other relevant platforms in ways that engage buyers and build community and thought leadership.
Come ready with a strong POV for content marketing and an excitement to collaborate with other teams. This role is at the core of the marketing team, and others will rely on your work every single day.
What we expect from you:
- Strong, clear, exquisite communication and organizational skills.
- Experience managing a content team, supporting a healthy work culture, growing team members and providing clear leadership.
- Ability to combine quantitative information with heartfelt human storytelling.
- 5+ years of content marketing experience for a growth-stage start-up; experience in health care and/or writing content for HR leaders is a plus
- Experience in producing content at scale for B2B or B2B2C audiences in the form of blog articles, ebooks, webinars, whitepapers, and more.
- Experience working with analytics, SEO and SEM and other data driven approaches to measuring and targeting content.
