OVERVIEW:

Associate Producer is a key role in the daily creative production of all in house shoots, series and specials. This role reports to the Studio Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage requests for field and in-studio shoots and maintain continual company wide shoot calendar.

  • Track check-out and return of camera and audio equipment

  • Assist in oversight on lighting, sound and filming of studio and field productions

  • Working with the creative producer to maintain a high standard of production quality in studio and field.

  • Monitor and operate studio and field cameras

  • Ability to track and reconcile newsroom studio and field expenses

  • Shoot with a “multi-channel” mindset allowing video to be used across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.

  • Reserve and rent additional equipment that may be needed

  • Plan video shoots; scout, select and reserve shoot locations, develop production schedules

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years in digital video production

  • 2+ years in digital asset management

  • Working knowledge of cameras including Canon C100, Canon C300 & Canon 5D

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and communicate progress.

  • Ability to work under strict deadlines.

  • Familiarity with professional cameras, prosumer camcorders, various HD and SD formats, pre-production/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip, scriptwriting, storyboarding and photography

  • Knowledge of major social media platforms (big plus if you've used them on a business level)

  • Valid Driver’s License a plus
