NowThis is looking for a Booker based in NY for a daily live morning news show. Working with the #1 video news brand on the social web, you’ll be assisting the senior team with all aspects of production. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience excelling in a team environment, working on multiple projects at once all while staying organized. This candidate should be highly motivated, possess exceptional editorial skills and have a proven track record of booking high profile guests.
This role will report to the Executive Producer.
Responsibilities:
- Booking a wide variety of guests: political, business, economic and creative.
- Conducting pre-interviews, securing transmission and arranging transportation
- Prepare appropriate research for pitch meetings
- Responsible for generating ideas for dynamic live interviews for a daily live news show
- Researching topics, securing interviews and conducting pre-interviews
- Plan for anticipated future news events
- Suggest segments for social media
- Cut video and sound, and make graphics as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years previous booking experience
- Display broadcasting editorial experience and judgment to enhance balanced discussions of relevant concern to our viewers.
- Previous television booking experience and a track record booking high profile guests
- Must demonstrate a diverse range of topic expertise
- Strong editorial judgement
- Experience with conducting research
- Ability to manage deadline pressure well
- Long range booking / Planning
- Strong social media knowledge
