Communications Coordinator (Contract)
Squarespace’s Communications team works with every department across the entire organization to tell compelling stories about our people, products, and business, thereby establishing Squarespace as a global brand. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial communications coordinator with a “can do” attitude join our team on a temporary basis (three month contract with the potential to extend) as we execute on our Q3 consumer media goals. This position will report directly to a Communications Specialist and is based in our New York City headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in writing pitches and press materials
- Research, build, and maintain media lists
- Monitor relevant news outlets
- Generate coverage & analysis reports
- Coordinate events and assist with all logistics and planning
- Track industry and competitor news
- Draft speaking and awards submissions
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years experience working in-house or agency-side; consumer tech experience a plus
- Strong verbal, listening, and written skills
- Research capabilities and outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
- Highly collaborative and ready to pitch in with any task, regardless of size
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office and G Suite tools
- Experience using Cision, Muck Rack, Trendkite and other PR tools
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or other relevant field
- Squarespace experience is a plus
