About the Role
As Content Coordinator, this person will work directly with Common’s Content Manager to support in content creation and distribution, social media partnerships, and brand marketing across all of Common’s platforms.  The ideal candidate is an excellent writer with a knack for storytelling and an interest in the role it plays across all marketing channels. During their time at Common, the ideal candidate will learn and fully understand the Common business model, value proposition, and brand. Eager to enter a rewarding marketing career, this person will get to be creative, think beyond traditional brand marketing tactics, and enjoy the collaborative environment that a startup brings. This role reports to the Content Manager.

Responsibilities 

  • Brainstorm blog posts, content campaigns, and brand partnerships with the Content Manager and the Brand Marketing team
  • Engage with Common’s community across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Source and maintain a list of influencers and relevant brands for partnerships
  • Contribute copy for social media posts, blog posts, Common’s website, and marketing materials
  • Work with the Content Manager in building out Common’s channel on TikTok through content creation and community engagement
  • Coordinate with the Content Manager to execute posting on Common’s social feeds
  • Create and share reports on the brand marketing landscape and competitors
  • Make ad hoc changes to Common’s website
  • Track metrics across Common’s social media channels and blog, using data to identify key trends and opportunities
  • Work with member services team to track and respond to member questions/issues on social media

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate
  • A strong writer with an excellent grasp of grammar and style
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • A creative problem solver 
  • An interest in and a good understanding of the current state of brand marketing
  • An avid social media user with a solid understanding of popular platforms
  • Internet and news obsessed, likes pop culture
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Bonus: Knowledge of Video-editing software, WordPress, SEO, Photoshop or Canva, or Contentful
