We're looking for a full time video/photo content creator to join our team to help us translate our vision into beautiful and thoughtful video content and photography. This is an exciting position for someone who is able to manage multiple projects at once under tight turnarounds, and is an opportunity to establish Away’s photo/video presence across different platforms. This role will mainly work on social media and HERE magazine content.
This position will report directly to our Senior Producer and work from our headquarters in NoHo, NYC.
REQUIREMENTS
What you’ll do:
- Photograph, film and edit a variety of content for Away, both on location and in studio.
- Retouch images and edit footage for Away, including static images, gifs, and short-form videos.
- Concept, pitch ideas, and create campaign-specific shoots, social media content and episodic content from start to finish.
- Work cross functionally with the Brand Marketing, Editorial, and Creative teams.
- Organize and edit footage for post-production, including archiving.
- Assist with the build out of an in-house studio, including proposing necessary equipment.
Who you are:
- 2+ years photography and filming experience with a DSLR camera
- 2+ years of production and editing experience
- Experience with audio, lighting, photography and video, both in and outside of a studio environment
- Strong understanding of storytelling–visually and narratively.
- Strong editing skills using FinalCut 7 or Adobe Premiere
- Highly organized self-starter and detail oriented
- Never satisfied with the status quo, always thinking “how can we do this better?”
- Eager to learn and take on new and varied responsibilities
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced and energetic environment
- Previous experience in social media or digital marketing a plus
