As an established comprehensive elementary ELA program, Amplify CKLA is well positioned to significantly increase market share and have a powerful impact on PreK-5 students across the nation. The team is also poised for long-term development of new core elementary ELA products. The Content Specialist will work with the Executive Director of PreK-5 Language Arts to monitor state standards shifts, establish and coordinate processes for gap analysis and standards correlations, and manage product customization and alignment to specific standards. The Content Specialist will work closely with the CAO of PreK-5 Humanities, the GM, the Executive Director of PreK-5 Language Arts, and other team leads to help set vision and priorities for the elementary core curriculum and lead the team to execute on these priorities. The ideal candidate has experience working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities of the Content Specialist:
Help set standards and editioning priorities for PreK-5 core curriculum offerings: Review bid and adoption specs, and new state standards to provide strategic input on needed content. Offer strategic input to ED and GM on new language arts PreK-5 core offerings in specific markets, tailoring these to the relevant standards, and work collaboratively with digital product, design leads and Research & Measurement to envision and develop approved offerings to meet market needs while maintaining program quality and integrity.
Ensure product success in state adoptions and district RFPs.
Collaborate with the bids, adoptions, and sales teams to review specifications for new opportunities. Plan and organize the resources needed for successful submission, including possible customized materials for high-priority markets, and work with Content and Instructional Specialists and other key partners to ensure successful and timely completion of materials.
Oversee standards alignments, correlations, and technical documentation.
Work with key partners in sales, marketing, and government relations to conduct out-year planning and to anticipate and understand state approaches to standards and curriculum priorities. Create processes to track standards shifts across markets, create correlations for different markets, and track differences between state-specific editions of the core product. Provide timely communication of product development to support the organization with revenue opportunities.
Develop high-quality content for customized markets: Oversee content customization for strategic markets, including the digital and print offerings. Collaborate with ED and others to respond to specific state adoptions by developing state specific content that supports robust standard alignment and aligns to the existing program's pedagogy and focus on instructional efficacy. Envision, resource, and coordinate content revisions for state adoptions. Ensure that all content reflects and promotes Amplify's commitments to high-quality instruction, including DEI.
Basic Qualifications of the Content Specialist:

  • BA in Education or related field
  • 3+ years elementary education experience
  • Experience leading state-level adoption submissions for an educational publisher
  • Experience crafting challenging and engaging standards-based curricular materials
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and balance work on multiple projects


Preferred Qualifications of the Content Specialist:

  • Proven strength in written and verbal communication
  • Graduate degree in curriculum or related field
