If you’re a writer and you feel like geeking out on fintech and personal finance, you should probably keep reading. We’re looking for someone who can turn financial planning jargon into everyday English, ultimately impacting the way LearnVest and Northwestern Mutual communicate with each and every client. In the process, you’ll get to know the ins and outs of the digital products that power the growth of our company.
Responsibilities:
The copy department is a part of the Product Design team, so you’ll be working regularly with user experience, research, and visual design professionals. The Design team collaborates closely with product and engineering teams.
- Write, maintain and update UI copy for our financial planning, insurance, and investments experiences
- Create a documentation system that accurately accommodates updates as the product evolves
- Contribute to presentations, including updates to the larger team
- Engage in continuing education offered by the team as part of employment, starting with a basic accreditation in financial planning
- Additional opportunities to contribute editorial content, as well
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of writing experience (digital agency experience is a plus)
- Experience in UX/UI copywriting
- Experience in finance would be nice (there will be opportunities to learn)
- Self-starter who can recognize and pursue opportunities
- Comfortable in front of a room; confident in presenting work
- Capacity for collaboration; capable of working independently
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
