HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO

We’re looking for a sharp and talented Copywriter to join our Creative team, with a focus on the Wisdom Panel brand. In this role, you’ll serve as our lead writer on Wisdom, crafting words that inspire action across our digital channels. Though you’ll sit on the Creative team, you’ll regularly collaborate with Product and UX Designers, scientific experts, and other functional leads. You will also write copy for a defined selection of our other (awesome) Kinship portfolio brands.

Are you an advocate for clear, concise, and compelling copy (and the Oxford comma)? Do you think big picture, yet sweat the details? Are you always intentional about word choice and write with your audience in mind?

If so, you might be the writer we’re looking for.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience writing copy across a range of brands and media, including direct-to-consumer
  • Proven ability to distill complex ideas into digestible, conversational copy
  • Experience crafting copy aligned to business goals, such as conversion optimization
  • Understanding of digital marketing landscape and nuances of various platforms and channels
  • Knowledge of grammar rules (and when to break them)
  • Experience writing short- and long-form copy in a variety of voices and tones
  • Talent for writing “on-voice” and “on-message” copy for a range of brands
  • Confident yet humble, taking critical feedback with grace
  • Familiar with SEO best practices and how to write copy that accommodates search engines, as well as humans

Responsibilities:

  • Write high-impact copy for a range of digital experiences—including website, app, emails, landing pages, ads, and social
  • Strategically use language to increase brand affinity, engagement, and conversions
  • Serve as the lead brand storyteller for Wisdom Panel
  • Work with subject matter experts to humanize highly technical or scientific content
  • Apply and build upon brand voice, tone, and style
  • Proofread copy (your own and that of others) for clarity, grammar, and spelling
  • Measure and report on the performance of your copy

  • Experience writing microcopy for digital products and scripts for videos
  • Critical thinker, problem-solver, and master collaborator
  • Agency experience
  • Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or relevant field

Our New York City office is conveniently located right off the 28th street 6 train station bustling with fantastic cafes, restaurants, and bars. A few blocks away is gorgeous Madison Square Park where you can pick up SweetGreen nearby and have lunch with a view.
