The Curriculum Quality team at Codecademy is looking for a dedicated programmer/educator to help maintain our expansive content catalog and ensure that all of our curriculum is accurate and effective. The Curriculum Quality Associate is on the front-lines, responding to users bug reports, auditing existing content, and ensuring that all of Codecademy's curriculum meets our pedagogical and editorial standards. This is a part-time, remote position with ~10-30 hours of work per week.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Logging and assigning user reported bugs and feedback
- Fixing smaller bugs and typos in Codecademy's content
- Audit curriculum as part of an expanding Curriculum Audit process
- Work on your own schedule apart from team meetings
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Passionate about programming, technology, and teaching
- Highly responsive and self directed
- Familiarity with or willing to learn: Javascript, Regex, Test Driven Development, Markdown,
- CS background or demonstrated proficiency with 2 or more of the following languages: C++, C#, Java, Python
- Familiarity with the Codecademy platform
- A strong command of written English
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:
- Proficiency with ALL of the technologies listed above
- Experience working in content/editorial quality assurance or similar role
