NowThis is looking for a Director/TD based in NY for a daily live morning news show. Working with the #1 video news brand on the social web, you’ll be creating content for the social, mobile generation by informing, entertaining and inspiring our audience about what’s happening and important. This role will report to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities: 

• Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and productions
• Supervise Production Crew on daily basis
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Responsible for visual direction with heavy emphasis on fast paced, newscasts with multiple remotes
• Working knowledge of all control room and studio equipment as it relates to live newscasts
• Fill in on as-needed basis for Audio

Qualifications:

• 5+ years live / live-to-tape production
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment
• Proficiency in TriCaster 8000
• Live audio experience helpful
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew while under pressure
• Typing and good spelling skills necessary
• Must be able to lift & position 40 pound lighting instruments
• A/V wiring and live production workflows
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of audio, video and graphics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills preferred
• Applicant should be extremely dependable, prompt and have a positive demeanor
