Food Database Editor, International
Role Overview:

Our International team is seeking a Food Editor to help the Food Database Ops team add millions of foods each year to Noom’s market leading nutrition database. The Food Editor will help manage the process and review and edit data to ensure it meets Noom’s high quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Become a subject matter expert in Noom’s Food Database
- Understand what data points Noom needs to collect and how, in order to add and edit foods to it’s database
- Research and define new standards for Noom to consider in including and cataloging items in it’s database
- Create documentation and communicate this expertise to others at Noom and 3rd parties such as our business process outsourcer (BPO)
- Ensure data being entered into Noom’s Food Database conforms to all Noom criteria
- Identify and resolve user experience flags and opportunities
- QA food database processes
- Review work completed by Noom’s BPO partners and score it according to a scorecard
- Attend meetings with BPO quality team and calibrate standards
- Work with BPO partners to highlight themes for areas of improvement based on scorecards and develop training materials to address
- Prepare and process data for handling
- Become highly proficient using Noom’s internal and external tools for data maintenance and cleanup
- Extract suggested food data from Noom’s database or from 3rd party sources and prepare for processing by BPOs
- Prepare items for import into Noom’s database and work with product and engineering to complete new launches
What We Look For
- Bachelor's degree, quantitative field preferred.
- Very detail oriented. You notice the small things and hold yourself and others to a high quality bar.
- Highly organized, able to keep multiple projects or tasks on track and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- You love Excel and have an affinity for data and data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
