OVERVIEW 

VICE.com is seeking a freelance motion graphics animator for VICE shortform video content based in our Brooklyn, NY Office. We’re seeking a professional who is not only proficient in motion graphics and animation, but also has a strong editorial sense for short-form storytelling.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design original graphics for shortform videos across all VICE verticals to create compelling stories for our channels
• Present storyboards and styleframes for review
• Design, animate, and edit standalone motion graphics packages
• Create assets and templates for video editors
• Play a significant role in shaping short-form video strategy across all of VICE

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have extensive experience creating motion graphics and should be a master at After Effects, Photoshop and Premiere
• Cinema 4D and Illustration experience a plus
• Strong sense of motion and visual design and type
• Solid understanding of editing techniques
• Past experience producing visual content around culture, media and news
• Ability to parallel path multiple responsibilities and assignments under strict deadlines
• A familiarity and enthusiasm for the VICE brand and its editorial mission
