The Opportunity:

As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for setting and implementing the vision of learning within Unqork. In this role you will: 

• Conduct needs analyses and build foundational learning systems to develop our employees, clients, and partners
• Ensure Unqork’s curriculum is best in class and constantly evolving to meet the needs of our growing ecosystem
• Design systems and programs that accelerate and enable learning across learning paths and mediums throughout the lifecycle of an employee, customer and/or partner
• Work closely with stakeholders across the organization including Sales, Design, Delivery, Solutions, Training and Technical Writing to develop course content
• Bring a rigorous approach, informed by results-oriented research and methods, to continuously drive changes that last
• Empower customers, employees and partners to feel ownership over their careers, and to feel connected to resources to help them learn and grow
• Objectively assess the impact and effectiveness of learning systems

Who you are:

• You are an avid teacher, excellent collaborator and attune to subtleties of how people learn technical concepts in a non-technical way
• You are an expert in creating and delivering world class adult learning for both in-person and remote audiences. You almost certainly were a teacher or instructor earlier in your career
• You have excellent interpersonal skills, are diligent, self-motivated and have strong ability to quickly context-switch
• You thrive in ambiguity; love technology and can dive right into a fast paced environment

What we’re looking for:

• Demonstrated ability to apply experience and learning theory in a practical manner, optimized for maximized learning effectiveness
• Proven experience driving large-scale initiatives that require massive change management
• Experience working in Technology industry
• Presentation and trust-building skills to influence change and engage audiences of all levels
• Expertise building and scaling learning initiatives in a high-growth, rapidly adapting environment
• Experience deciding how best to resource learning initiatives, drawing from a mix of external vendors, consultants, internal experts, learning management systems, and bespoke company trainings
• Expertise in instructional design, learning content development, or behavioral change practices
• Excellent writing and communication skills

Additional technical skills—such as responsive web design, digital marketing, JavaScript, or other programming languages—are preferred but not required.
