As the International Content Manager on Skillshare’s Teach Lab team, you will manage the development of video-based, creativity-focused education content in key markets to support Skillshare’s international expansion. In this multifaceted role, you will work directly with creatives and manage a team of contractors to develop classes in different languages including Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German. This role will oversee the full lifecycle of teacher development, from onboarding talented creatives to reviewing content (e.g. scripts and videos) and publishing classes. You will work in collaboration with a Local Partnerships & Programming Manager on Skillshare’s International team to source teachers and leverage Skillshare’s existing coaching process to provide an incredible experience for up-and-coming creatives to become successful, dedicated teachers on Skillshare.

We will look to your skills in operations management, content development, and coaching to set up Teach Lab’s international programming for long-term success. This role provides the unique opportunity to work with talented creatives, develop educational content, and manage an international team of contractors.

What you'll do:

  • Operations Design & Project Management: Expand on our existing operations and build new systems to effectively onboard and track creatives through the class production process to hit our team’s international content goals.
  • Content Production & Coaching: You will be the first point of contact for high caliber international Teach Lab teachers, providing instructional design guidance, video production advice, and monitoring their progress through the class development process to hit targets for content publications each month.
  • Manage the International Teacher Funnel: Work in collaboration with our International team to onboard qualified creatives and set them up for success via Teach Lab’s class production process. Monitor international class performance and refine tactics to attract and retain the highest quality teachers.
  • Contractor Management: Train and manage contractors (e.g. content producers, video editors) with language proficiency in Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese to support their work to produce classes with teachers in their respective languages.

Why we're excited about you:

  • You are passionate about creativity and education: You have a strong interest (or experience) in creative education. Perhaps you are a creative hobbyist.
  • You are an experienced project manager. You are able to build and manage organized systems to keep track of complex projects, specifically related to education or content development.
  • You are well-versed in spreadsheet management (Google Sheets, Excel) and organizing systems that can expand to a larger team over time
  • Communication: You are an amazing communicator (written and spoken) who can build meaningful relationships with the people you work with.
  • You are reliable and love to connect with new people.
  • You are a natural manager: You have a knack for coaching and/or mentoring people to bring out their best work.
  • Language ability: You are fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: German, French, Portuguese.

Why you're excited about us:

  • Impact: You can support a diverse community of artists and creatives from around the world to become more financially independent by doing the meaningful work of teaching.
  • Growth: You’ll have the opportunity to wear a lot of hats, from content producer to international project manager, and will be able to take on more responsibility to grow our program over time.
  • Our team: We have a passionate, talented team that is a lot of fun to work with.
  • Our mission: We’re doing work that matters – connecting lifelong learners around the world and empowering them to pursue their creativity.
  • Flexibility: We believe that doing your best work means living a full life. That means different things for everyone, so we optimize for trust, invest to support remote teams, have an unlimited vacation policy (with a required minimum!), and encourage work-life balance.
