Position Overview:

The Content Marketing team is looking for a creative wordsmith and content strategist to bring to life brand and product communication across multiple consumer touchpoints. We’re looking for an exceptional copywriter to fill this nimble role. This person is an out-of-the-box thinker, understands the Rent the Runway voice and point of view, and uses that knowledge to draft smart, engaging, effective marketing copy (from emails to paid ads and beyond).

Responsibilities:

  • Writing sharp brand copy for a variety of channels, including emails, UX, and paid ads
  • Own our email content strategy and think outside the box to take them to the next level
  • Brainstorming exciting ways to create strong, memorable campaign messaging and creative extensions
  • Partnering with the Content, Design, and Marketing teams to develop compelling brand communication strategies, from ideation to completion
  • Self-editing and copyediting to align with the Rent the Runway voice and style guide
  • Juggling and prioritizing a variety of copy needs, projects, and requests
  • Working with the Content team to continuously streamline and increase efficacy in all copy processes

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of full time, professional copywriting or editorial experience – preferred prior experience with e-commerce or digital marketing organizations
  • Bachelor's degree required (English, Marketing/Advertising, Journalism or equivalent preferred)
  • Demonstrated excellence and focus on writing and editing -- writing examples and/or portfolio required
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Eager to take on new challenges, introduce and implement new approaches and ideas, grow, test, and learn
  • Experience managing a fast-paced project pipeline and participate in cross-functional workflow
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, across Marketing, Creative Production, Design, Merchandising, and Product/UX
  • Ability to be flexible, resilient, and adaptable to changing priorities
