About the Role

The Manager of Marketing Content Development will play a key role in driving content and design strategy across all of Namely’s web properties. This role is responsible for refining our brand voice and representing that voice company-wide, building brand awareness, and executing on thought leadership and demand generation content that earns attention and credibility with key audiences.

In addition to developing content, this role will set strategy for large brand initiatives and empower the team to reach goals. You will work on a highly collaborative team, managing a marketing associate, content specialist, and designer. This role will also own and manage relationships with third-party service providers, including PR firms, ad agencies, and SEO consulting partners. 

Responsibilities  

  • Manage content and design work on Namely web properties, including website, blog, and online client community
  • Create and manage editorial calendar for content planning and production
  • Deliver engaging content on a regular basis 
  • Focus on delivering impactful, transactional copy that drives performance in the company’s demand generation investments and activities
  • Review and edit content and inspire team members
  • As needed, review of prospect and client-facing written communications
  • Lead the charge into new content channels through thoughtful strategy and execution
  • Collaborate across the company to produce relevant content that extends Namely’s thought leadership
  • Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics, and analyze traffic metrics

Requirements  

  • 2+ years experience managing a team of resources responsible for creating content deliverables 
  • Experience managing external agencies and/or freelance support for design, content creation and development
  • Previous experience in a similar role at a software or technology company strongly preferred
  • Skilled writer and editor, with a crisp style, keen eye for detail, and ability to predict audience preferences
  • Self-starter, not afraid to bring new ideas to the table
  • Leader who can empower the team and drive results
  • Highly organized, able to seamlessly manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s Degree
