About You:

We are looking for a marketing writer to join our growing team and help us further our mission of helping people get better financial advice by matching them with qualified financial advisors. The ideal candidate will have experience writing high-intent, personal finance content (preferably including investing, retirement and financial planning topics), as well as a journalism background with enthusiasm for collaboration. This candidate has experience writing with an audience and marketing goal in mind, driving casual readers down funnel to become leads.

Responsibilities:

• Writing and editing articles to support paid marketing and organic acquisition efforts
• Research and pitch new content ideas
• Manage content calendar and production
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams for headline and copy testing
• Maintain high level of quality and integrity in content 
• Contribute to a library of financial studies and key data points to quote in articles

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1-2 years experience in copywriting and copyediting
• Experience with data-driven and research-heavy articles is a plus
• Journalism background preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong writing, editing and fact-checking skills
• Able to create well-written, comprehensive and accurate content in a timely and consistent manner
• Able to take ownership of an article from start to finish
• Ability to prioritize assignments and projects, allocating an appropriate amount of time on each task
• Marketing copywriting experience a plus
