We are looking for a Packaging Specialist to be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Freshly’s packaging. 

Responsibilities:

• Research and development of latest packaging and technologies both within and outside the Food industry that improve customer satisfaction, sustainability, costs and operational efficiencies.
• Support new packaging initiatives from conception to commercialization, working cross functionally with Marketing, Procurement, Operations, R&D, and Food Safety.
• Partner with creative team on branded package designs
• Develop test plans and line trials to prove packaging reliability in operations, distribution and during consumer use.
• Create and maintain packaging specifications

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Science or Packaging Engineering.
• 2-3 years experience working in package engineering or related field, preferably in Food industry.
• Knowledge of packaging design and testing for use in food, pharmaceutical or environmentally controlled shipping (cold chain.)
• Talent for project planning, organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Optimistic, resourceful, and ready to take on any challenges!
• Experience using AutoCAD software (or similar software,) MS Excel and MS Project.
