Product Video Animator

Our Video Production team is looking for a talented, efficient video animator/editor/motion graphics designer to work with the Vimeo Product team to create amazing graphics-based videos that engage and inform our community on our site, our newsletters, and more. Oh, and you should also be a total team player and comfortable creating for a broad audience of casual uploaders, professional filmmakers, businesses, and beyond.

If you’re all of these things (NBD, right?), AND you’re comfortable working on tight timelines to produce high-quality videos —let’s do this thing.

In this role, you will:

• Work closely and collaboratively with product and creative design teams to make amazing graphics-based videos for our websites, newsletters, and social media.
• Spend your days creating product launch and demo videos, looping GIFs and animated videos, and developing reusable processes for doing so.
• Find new opportunities and means of incorporating videos into the Vimeo user experience.
• Continually work to optimize videos in response to key performance metrics captured by the data team.

If you’re applying, you should:

• Have 3+ years of experience making short-form videos and creating motion graphics on behalf of a brand or product.
• Have a degree in film/video, media, design or another relevant field.
• Be a pro at Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro and be familiar with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Invision, and Sketch.
• Have experience with UX design, creating GIFs, and compressing videos for web display.
• Be incredibly detail-oriented, informed on video standards and trends, dead-set on perfection, and able to effectively communicate feedback.

Bonus points:

• You’ve worked for a tech/internet/SaaS company with a lot of brand personality and a complex product.
• You have a background in UX/product design and/or experience working between Sketch/Invision and Adobe Illustrator/After Effects.
• You’re a diehard Vimeo fan and longtime uploader.
