As Senior Communications Manager - Content, you will be in charge of creating a content strategy for DigitalOcean’s marketing organization and writing effective and compelling product overviews, web copy, videos, webinars, podcasts, recruiting content, customer success stories, emails, landing pages, press releases, bylined articles, videos, industry reports, and more. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple functions within marketing including Product Marketing, Developer Relations, Demand Generation, Social, and our staff of technical writers to ensure we are amplifying all of our internal and external communications assets and cultivating an active audience through “always on” content programs.
This role requires someone who understands how effective content marketing can holistically support a larger marketing strategy. The ideal candidate should have experience working within the tech industry and have a background in technical writing for the developer community. This role will encompass both managing the strategy and also writing content.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Grow the DigitalOcean brand through compelling original content creation
- Write compelling web copy, product collateral and videos to support go-to-market strategy
- Write customer communications and supporting assets such as emails, landing pages, surveys and industry reports
- Oversee the content creation and publication process to ensure content is high quality and process is agile
- Partner with Demand Generation and Social teams to develop a omni-channel amplification strategy
- Develop a scalable and agile content marketing model. Perpetually optimize the model and evolve the strategy to meet the needs of a high-growth technology company
- Work on cross functional initiatives with product and marketing teams
- Evangelize and educate relevant teams on content strategy best practices
- Provide input into requirements definition, selection and implementation of content-related technologies
- Architect our content amplification strategy and manage all aspects of it

- Content Strategist: You understand and can demonstrate how to put together a content marketing framework from ideation to execution.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to translate complex technical ideas into compelling everyday language.
- Team Player: Proven track record of managing people and effectively working cross functionally across the organization
