General Summary: 
Reporting directly to the VP, Content, the Sr. Director of Content Innovation has three key objectives:

  • To expand and elevate the WW brand with content that leverages new mediums and partnerships
  • Ensure the highest quality in print, digital and audio storytelling to reinforce WW's position as an approachable, inspiring and trustworthy leader in the global wellness space
  • To constantly enrich and improve the member experience by collaborating with the product, partnerships, program, PR and Science teams (among others) to introduce creative approaches that will re-energize existing content channels while looking for opportunities in the expanding wellness industry that have the potential to add value and delight to member touchpoints through the innovative use of content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with current and future WW partners across emerging channels to create content that drives member engagement and excitement (eg Headspace, Aaptiv, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, etc.)
  • Explore and develop content in diverse storytelling mediums, including podcasting and smart speaker technology. Manage the ideation, refinement and production of a high-quality branded podcast that drives brand reappraisal and recruitment of new members.
  • Work with Head of North American Content and Global Content leadership to improve the freshness, aesthetic appeal and quality of US cookbooks. Look for efficiencies in cookbook production globally to manage costs
  • Contribute to the evolution and innovation of the WW website and social channels.
  • Help to maintain consistent voice across all content channels, in accordance with the WW brand TOV document.
  • Help to lead, recruit, train and retain a talented, vibrant, agile content team.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism/Communications/English
  •  Minimum 15- 20 years of experience creating content in a health-related field
  • Current WW Members strongly preferred
  • Deep experience engaging audiences and growing brands through vivid storytelling.
  • Ability to see the story, trend or opportunity in user data-from magazine sales to open rates to social trend
  • Track record producing content that successfully motivates individuals to adopt healthy lifestyles.
  • Entrepreneurial experience launching major wellness brands. A proven instinct for emerging trends in the wellness space, with a focus on food, fitness and mindset.
  • High standards for rigorous and accurate information gathering and communication.
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with both creative, tech and business teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, personal integrity and accountability.
