We are looking for a Senior Reporter with a track record for breaking news and a strong interest in investigative journalism.
The person will report on corporate borrowers in the middle market space with a focus on companies borrowing in the leveraged finance market, direct lending and distressed borrowers. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts and lawyers to shape content. There will be a particular focus on the middle markets with this role, as we expand our coverage into this space.
Responsibilities
- Break news on middle markets companies planning to borrow in the leveraged finance market and on distressed debt borrowers across America
- Work closely with a team of journalists, financial analysts and legal analysts
- Develop and maintain relationships in the credit market as well as with insolvency practitioners and advisors
- Write trend pieces on the industry
- Attend conferences and events where necessary
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience covering the leveraged finance and/or distressed debt markets
- Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
