The Role

Are you the type of person who is always discovering bizarre kitchen gadgets, coupon codes, or interesting stores and sending links to your friends until they beg you to stop?

BuzzFeed is looking for a shopping- and products-focused writer for a paid, three month, full-time role (with the possibility to extend and/or convert to a permanent position) in our New York office. This role will begin once we find the right person and will be scheduled to end 3 months later. Please note that this is NOT an internship. You will need to be available full-time in order to be the right fit for this fellowship.

The Team

BuzzFeed's shopping section is an expanding editorial endeavor that includes both service-oriented and entertaining content for a shopping-minded audience. You will help our audience discover deals and great products through fun and informative formats, from thoughtful and in-depth product reviews to themed roundups and more.

You Will

• Research products across various categories and price points that are of interest to the BuzzFeed audience
• Write shareable, unique product roundups as well as SEO-friendly shopping guides and reviews
• Optimize posts site-wide for service and revenue
• Discover and tackle viral product trends and deals on the internet, especially from Amazon, and wherever else people are buying things these days
• Track and analyze your posts' site traffic and affiliate analytics

You Have

• Genuine love for the internet and online shopping
• Firm understanding of the BuzzFeed audience and voice
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle critical feedback and improve from it
• Flawless spelling, grammar, and usage in your writing
• A positive, curious, playful disposition with a sense of humor
