Position Summary

Moda Operandi is seeking a Styling & Editorial Assistant to support our styling, content and editorial teams. Taking direction from our Style & Content Director and our in-house content team, this position will support the company’s marketing strategy by executing editorial boards, content capturing, on-set assisting, and trend reporting. He/she will be responsible for maintaining knowledge of stock, deliveries, upload, and launch dates to maximize sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong organization skills, a keen fashion sense, excellent time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time. An obsessive attention to detail and awareness of the Moda Operandi brand a must.

What You'll Do

• Assist Style Director and VP of Content & Creative with editorial and content needs
• Assist in building out sample request and story boards acting as liaison between necessary parties
• Responsible for submitting and managing editorial and social styling pulls
• Responsible for preparation of merchandise prior to shoots and assisting on editorial shoots, as needed. 
• Help to develop seasonal trend reports highlighting all micro and macro fashion trends, liaising with Fashion Director to edit and select the key themes for Editorial, Marketing, PR, and Creative teams and dispersing information in a way that is useful to all teams
• Help in content creation, whether it be attending showrooms to capture content, or helping to edit social content, as needed
• Maintain knowledge of stock, deliveries, upload and launch dates to maximize editorial and social sales opportunities
• Manage designer credits for all photoshoots to ensure accurate representation of brands across the website

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing, e-commerce setting and respond to change with positive attitude; communicate effectively and collaborate well with team members a must
• Exceptional work ethic and organizational skills, along with a keen eye for detail
• Commercially aware with strong knowledge of designers, brands, trends and Moda Operandi point-of-view
• Ability to resolve complex issues when relevant and communicate workflow status and concerns to content team
• Professional, well spoken with strong communication skills
• Pro-active and able to show initiative and generate ideas to constantly improve site experience
• A strong individual sense of style, combined with an understanding of Moda’s aesthetic and the ability to merge the two effectively
• Prior on-set photo shoot, editorial and fashion styling experience in a luxury environment a plus
• Proficiency in Photoshop a plus
