Position Title:   Technical Writer Consultant– Quantitative Engineering

Job Description
As a Technical Writer for our Quantitative Engineering team, you will be tasked with owning the documentation of our proprietary models and analytical tools. You will be responsible for designing the architecture, layout, and strategy of our documentation and make the right calls to simplify complex subject matter into easy to understand concepts.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

• Design and execute the end to end vision for SIMON in user documentation
• Make the choice on how best to explain complex subject matter with supporting materials (diagrams, analogies, etc…)
• Write up “How To” guides, references, and tutorials to support our documentation

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ Years of technical writing experience with a focus on Quantitative Analysis/Development
• Bachelors degree in statistics, physics, mathematics, or similar field.
• Comfortable with basic formatting for documentation
• Understanding of Python/Scala and Quantitative Engineering
• Ability to read and write coding examples.

Our front-end team is building out our web and mobile presence using React, Redux, and Webpack along with some very sophisticated data visualizations. Our back-end team is using Scala, Akka, Postgres and other open-source technologies to build a micro-services architecture that can scale to handle our ambitious roadmap. Our quantitative engineering team is researching and building novel financial strategies to widen our competitive advantage. Our dev-ops team is creating a development and production environment with Docker and Kubernetes to keep us nimble. Product Management sits in the middle of it all to make it happen.
