The Product Content team at Addepar makes learning our product easy and compelling. We bring clarity, brand personality, and moments of delight into the product experience. We play a critical role in empathizing with our users and advocating for their needs.

As a full-time technical writing intern, you’ll focus on improving our external-facing educational content for product integrations. This includes creating an overview for each integration that helps developers and business executives understand the benefits of each integration, when and why to use them, how to get started, etc. You’ll also review and edit existing configuration guides and fill in gaps.

Throughout your internship, you’ll partner with and be mentored by a senior content strategist and senior product manager. You’ll participate in brainstorming sessions, stakeholder meetings, research, and implementation. Our cross-disciplinary environment provides a unique opportunity to learn from engineers, product managers, solutions consultants, designers, and other writers. We expect that you’ll complete the internship with a quality piece you can showcase in your portfolio. 

This paid internship will span 12 weeks in Summer 2021. The position is remote, with the potential to convert to a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, content strategists, engineers, and solutions consultants to define documentation requirements.
• Plan, create, and update technical documentation. Edit, clarify, and enhance the content experience.
• Articulate and document your content strategy and rationale.
• Run review sessions with your peers. 
• Present updates at key milestones.
• Conduct outreach with integration partners, as needed.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recent graduate of a degree or intensive in technical writing, human-computer interaction, computer science, or related field.
• A portfolio that demonstrates how you used content to support a technical audience through an experience. 
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills. Strong editing skills.
• Ability to read and understand source code written in Python and Java.
• Experience with HTML and CSS a plus.
