Ocrolus is an NYC-based SaaS platform for document digitization and analysis. Clients primarily connect to the platform through APIs that are documented on its developer site. The Technical Writer will be able to build and grow Ocrolus's client-facing API documentation site, with an eye towards:

-Consistent developer experience

-Intuitive information architecture

-Easy onboarding for new users/clients and prospective clients


The current API documentation site was manually built on the Readme.IO CMS. A successful technical writer candidate will have experience with:

-Technical writing with an eye towards developer comprehension and ease-of-use

-Open API 3 (Swagger) specifications

-Swaggerhub

-Readme.IO

-Ability to digest complex technical information and communicate it in a clear, concise manner.

-Ability to collaborate with other writers, including freelance resources, on the delivery of shared content


A successful candidate will be able to analyze usage trends within Google Analytics, liaise with internal stakeholders in product, engineering, solutions, and marketing, and interact with developers and non-technical users to build a world-class documentation site.

Job Requirements

  • BS or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in technical writing for an API platform.
  • Ability to understand, refine and edit coding examples
  • Experience working directly with SaaS engineering teams
  • Samples that exhibit your direct experience with documentation projects
  • Fintech industry experience (preferred)
