About the Role

The VP of Content will lead and develop the content ecosystem, programming strategies, & exciting new content promotion on MoneyLion’s media platforms. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. Your mission will be to make MoneyLion the leading content brand owning the conversation and culture of money. You will be working closely with creators, influencers, celebrities, publishers, and other content networks on programming the voice and role of MoneyLion in a multi-channel distribution strategy that drives owned audience and engagement everywhere. You should have a ferocious appetite for creativity and culture and a deep passion for using consumer data to drive hearts and science decision-making processes.
As the leader of Content at MoneyLion, you’ll leverage your deep knowledge of using audience insights to create the most engaging and effective content ecosystem with a team of producers and creators across short and long-form mediums and various storytelling formats. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Partnerships, Marketing, and Analytics to engage the MoneyLion user base, and collaboratively work towards MoneyLion's overall content performance targets. You will also be charged with building a best-in-class team dedicated to content development, operations, and insights that map to overarching company goals and performance KPIs.
The ideal candidate will be excited by working in fast-paced environments and on multiple projects simultaneously. You’ll have led content teams in the past, driving the operational and creative components that allow a content engine to produce content at the speed of culture. We are looking for a leader who is flexible, can find solutions to ambiguous problems, be resourceful and bring positivity to the work environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the content organization including studio, producers, and creator managers to develop a content ecosystem that operates with agility and hyper-scale.
• Manage a content strategy based on audience insights and lead a team responsible for deepening user engagement in Moneylion’s owned & operated content channels.
• Drive initiatives around test and learn content attribution strategies, innovate new content formats and value identification, and grow user engagement to new heights by verticalizing content offerings from original and curated content partners.
• Analyze and report on the performance of the content ecosystem, including content effectiveness, user engagement, sentiment, and other key metrics.
• Act as subject matter expert for content-related product features and help to further develop Moneylion’s algorithm strategy
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across content, product, engineering, and marketing teams, helping inform the product vision and ensuring strategic alignment on growth and engagement initiatives
• Lead operational efficiency on the content development process, which will include production process, storage, tagging
• Ensure content meets all legal/compliance requirements.

About You

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field and 10-15+ years of proven brand marketing experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with digital content platforms
• 5+ years growing and managing teams
• Strong interest in entertainment, creator economy, and digital content; understanding of media landscape and major trends in the industry
• Strong working knowledge of social media marketing- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
• Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data, identify problems, and develop constructive solutions
• Extensive experience working cross-functionally and with all levels of management
• Excellent communication skills, ability to represent the company and product in external settings
• A collaborative leader who is accountable, proactive, and solution-oriented with good judgment in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Previous experience in managing a consumer content feed or platform is a plus
• Significant experience working with product and/or engineering teams
• Passion and knowledge of internet trends and pop culture
